More fun at Palm Desert Resort

Sue is seven months pregnant. I made her take this picture. I remember having my picture taken in a bikini at about the same stage of pregnancy. Harper is all decked out with goggles and water wings but holding on tight to the pole.

Grandpa and Harper pulling on the tug of war statue at the Gardens of El Paseo. The sculpture kids won!

Harper wants everyone to know that his new brother or sister is scheduled to arrive on St. Patrick's Day. Sue thinks it might be a Leprechaun. Well, kiss my blarney stone!

The New Baby's Quilt

Made "With Love" by Grandma Linda.

Christmas morning with Harper, Sue and Nate

Harper liked his T-ball ....and his stocking cap. He could whack it out into the golf course.
What a color coordinated Christmas morning.

Santa found Harper even in the desert.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good New Year!

My favorite fountain!

These are just two of the sculptures which make up my favorite fountain located in Cathedral City.

We like to take the grandkids to the fountain when they visit. It has several of these "squirter" critters surrounding a larger fountain, all of which are made with these lovely mosaics. The scuptures are mounted on a rubberized base so that kids playing in the fountain won't get hurt if they fell. When it reached 100 degrees and plus, the fountain is a fun place to play.

Two pictures back

The Hotel had a pool and water slide and Bob and John just had to do it! They are the big hunks in line for the slide.

This is off season...a boat race is happening this weekend.

The view from our room. So pretty the mountains, and river. But, the weekend is going to be a big boat race. We had a great time while it was quiet!
Now we know why the Interstate 10 is so full on weekends with motorhomes pulling trailers full of boats, desert toys.

We stayed at a Casino Hotel on the Colrado...Bob did the water slide, Linda Won A Royal Flush. Only $100 bucks soon to be lost.

We had fun on this beautiful course...Linda won a sleeve of balls for hitting the par three green from a cliff

Parker, Arizona friends golfing, gambling, having fun.

A visit to Seattle

Bob and I made a brief trip north, he visited with his cardiologist, I visited with the Etzkorn's, Janine, Grandma Gwen and Jeff & Theresa. We must have squeezed in between rain storms as we had good weather (cold but dry) for the five days. We did the Art Museum, the Market, and had a great meal at Ryan's...his crab cakes were delish!

Goodbye Sue, Nate and Harper...hello, Janine!

Bob took the Sabari's to the Ontario airport while I changed beds, cleaned the baths and picked up my sister, Janine, at the Ontario airport. She was here for a week, looking at distressed properties so that she and Ron might have an escape from the wet, mossy, cold climate of the Northwest. We toured La Quinta short sales and drove to Surprise, AZ to look at what they have. We also dined out, shopped, swam, ate, karaoked, and even flew at kite for an hour....life is tough!

Donald and Donna (ducks) miss Harper Jack

It took a week for the duck couple to quit coming around each day, in the morning and the evening to be fed bread by Harper. He really watched for them and we kept a catch of bread ready for the feed!

Sorry Donna and Donald!

Activities for everyone on vacation...While Nate golfed, Sue hunted down a marguerita & Harper rode the Rooster

Harper at the fountain in Cathedral City. We always take the kids to this great fountain. I love the mosaics, and as you can see, Harper gets a kick
